.       Former 49er linebacker Reuben Foster was claimed off waivers by the Washington Redskins on Tuesday, two days after the 49ers released him following a domestic violence arrest. Foster was arrested by Tampa police at 9:10 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt hotel where the team is staying before playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Tampa Police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor said the woman told police “Foster slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest area and slapped her with an open hand on the right side of her face.” McGregor said officers observed a one-inch scratch on the accuser’s left collarbone. Foster has already had a lot of offseason problems already. He had a marijuana charge that was dismissed where Foster had to pay court costs and a $100 bail bond fee.

While Colin Kaepernick is being blackballed out of the NFL, Reuben Foster is keeping a job in the midst of felony charges where the former San Francisco 49er’s linebacker was charged with multiple felonies on allegations he “dragged” his girlfriend at the time “by her hair, physically threw her out of the house, and punched her in the head 8 to 10 times,” rupturing her eardrum. If he was convicted, Foster could have faced more than 11 years in prison. Redskins senior vice president of player personnel, Doug Williams, said in a statement posted to Twitter that the team “fully understand[s] the severity of the recent allegations made against Reuben,” and if the accusations are true these actions, “are nothing our organization would ever condone.”

This is completely ridiculous considering he got off of multiple and horrendous felony domestic abuse charges earlier this year. The quote above is one of the most blasphemous, hypocritical comments I have ever seen. I don’t care how much Jay Gruden liked Foster coming out of college, this is a terrible thing to do while he is in the middle of domestic charges AGAIN. This is a cowardly move by the NFL allowing the Redskins to acquire Foster and is unacceptable until he clears his name if this isn’t true. I am truly disappointed in the NFL’s lack of caring about domestic violence. It’s not just Foster, its becoming way too common of an issue.

Lamar Jackson is a very explosive and dynamic player on the field, as Michael Vick believes Lamar has a chance to be better than him and end his career with the most rushing yards of any NFL quarterback. I feel like Lamar Jackson can be a special talent like Vick soon in the future but it is a process. At Louisville, Jackson set a school record for total touchdowns in a game with eight in the first half alone. On December 10, 2016, Jackson was selected as the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner over fellow finalists Deshaun Watson, Dede Westbrook, Jabrill Peppers, and Baker Mayfield. He became Louisville’s first Heisman Trophy winner in school history and the youngest ever recipient of the award. With these accolades (which there are a lot more), coaches still were resistant to draft Jackson because of poor footwork that lead to bad decisions and they doubted his leadership qualities. He didn’t have the typical career record of the normal Heisman trophy winner as well. He relies on his athletic ability to get him paid. Long term when it comes to winning championships, this is not the strategy. He is going to have to develop as a thrower and passer. When we were talking about him before the draft, nobody disputed how electric he was with the football in his hands and what he can do with his athletic ability, no one also disputed the fact that this is going to be a difficult process for him to learn to throw and stay in the pocket. Basically, we are seeing what we thought we would see. But when you talk about the combination of Joe Flacco and Lamar Jackson then you might have something special. When Flacco comes back and he is fully healthy as your passer and then you have all this creativity with Jackson coming in the game, you could legitimately have something there. In the crucial situations, we still know who is going to have the football in their hands, Joe Flacco.

PREDICTION: I predict the Falcons to win this game 35-24. Lamar Jackson will have a relatively solid day from the field, but Matt Ryan and company will get it together and get the dub at home. If they don’t at a mediocre 4-7, their chances of making the playoffs will become basically impossible. This is a must win for the Dirty Birds.

Georgia is the heavy underdawg, or you could say “underdawgs” in this weekend’s rematch of the Georgia Alabama game. Vegas is saying that the Georgia-Alabama betting odds are tilted with the spread being Alabama: -13 and the over/under: 64.5. If Georgia wants to defeat Alabama in “The Rematch” the Dawgs have to be aggressive on offense and to be honest it is all going to be on how Fromm can perform. He’s a sophomore who has been in this situation before, and he has had moments this year where he has actually taken over football games. If Georgia wants to win, then he has to take over the game like he has shown us he can do before. He must be relaxed, consistent and control the tempo of the game. Alabama is going to everything possible to stop the run from the beginning of the game and neutralize Georgia’s rushing attack, UGA’s bread-and-butter. Saban and this Alabama team like to take away what your team does the best, so Fromm is going to have to step up, make very good throws in contested situations and hope that his wide receivers make plays for him on the outside as well.

 

The NBA rumor mill is constantly turning and Anthony Davis has been in the mix quite a lot this past year. The Pelicans star forward and franchise player apparently is open to a trade. Anthony Davis has been loyal for the most part, but the organization has not been able to get him an elite enough guard to help him carry the load. Yes Jrue Holiday is a great player, but I am talking about a star. A Source with intimate knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes has apparently told “Get More Sports” that Anthony Davis is considering five teams in the distant future: The Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers. Most people have said that Davis is a lock for the Lakers next free agency but if this source is correct, then this will become even more of a wild offseason than we thought and could reshape the entire NBA. I believe that Anthony Davis will land with the Los Angeles Lakers next off season still. With the emergence of numerous “Super Teams,” Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka will get it done. They  are definitely aware that they need to surround the best basketball player on the planet with star players in order to give the Lakers a strong chance of returning to the NBA Finals and adding another championship banner to the rafters. Anthony Davis, who has been great his entire career, continues to get even better and I believe he will pass Lebron for the best player in the world eventually.
